Letter from the Executive Director
Dear KidSenses Friends,
In October 2004, KidSenses opened its doors and an incredible journey of innovative education and fun began. Since thatday, we have welcomed over 500,000 visitors from communities near and far. Each year, the museum welcomes over 55,000 visitors and over 450 field trip groups to explore the museum and experience a unique hands-on educational environment. In addition to our in-house program offerings, KidSenses’ “Science on the Move” outreach program has provided on-site programs at schools across our immediate service region and beyond to over 28,000 children.
As a non-profit organization, KidSenses covers 50% of its operating costs through admissions, gift shop sales, and programming fees. The remaining 50% must come from donations. Because of your continued efforts, KidSenses has never had to implement an increase in admission price since the museum opened.
It’s easy to get bogged down in the struggles our society faces. In the midst of such adversity, nothing is more uplifting than seeing a child light up with a love of learning and sense of accomplishment and pride. That’s the kind of thing that happens on a daily basis at KidSenses Children’s INTERACTIVE Museum, and it’s YOUR support that makes that possible. Kids are full of potential. Unlocking that potential starts with a great educational facility like KidSenses Children’s INTERACTIVE Museum. With every dollar you give, you invest in the future of our children. No gift is too small! You can make a difference by helping to fund the museum staff and daily operations. Giving is the most fun you’ll ever have!
